Raccoon Removal
Heavy footsteps overhead, torn soffits, and a nursery in your insulation.
Overview
A raccoon in the attic sounds like a person walking around above you, usually at night. Mothers tear open soffits and roof vents to den, and once inside they flatten insulation, tear ductwork, and leave a latrine that has to be dealt with. We remove the animal and any young humanely, then repair the entry and secure the house.

Signs to look for
How you know it is time to call.
Any one of these is enough. Two or more means there is an animal already inside.
- Loud thumping or walking sounds in the ceiling at night
- Torn or hanging soffit panels and bent roof vents
- Muddy paw prints on siding, downspouts, or the deck
- Chittering or crying sounds from young in spring
- Tipped trash cans and dug-up lawn patches
How we handle it
Our process, start to finish.
- 01
Locate the den and the entry
We inspect the attic and roofline to find where the raccoon is getting in and whether a litter is present.
- 02
Humane removal
Adults are removed with targeted trapping or one-way devices. Young are removed by hand and reunited with the mother off site.
- 03
Repair the damage
Soffits, vents, and fascia are repaired and reinforced with materials a raccoon cannot pull apart.
- 04
Clean up and protect
We remove the latrine, treat the area, and recommend attic restoration when insulation has been contaminated.
Raccoons FAQ
Common questions about raccoon removal.

Book a free inspectionAre raccoons dangerous?
They can be. Raccoons carry rabies and roundworm, and a mother will defend her young. Please do not try to remove one yourself.
Will the raccoon come back?
Not through the same opening. We repair every entry point with reinforced materials and check the rest of the roofline while we are up there.
